Families can dive into hundreds of free and affordable activities this spring as the Schrinner Council delivers more to see and do across the suburbs.

With more than 450 events on offer, 70 per cent of the program is completely free, making it easier than ever for parents to plan the perfect holiday timetable without breaking the budget.

September means the return of Brisbane Festival and the Museum of Brisbane is hosting the People’s Dancefloor Workshops to celebrate. From Saturday 20th September, dancers of all abilities can come and learn moves to iconic anthems for free in King George Square.

Nature lovers can escape into the award-winning Archerfield Wetlands which was recently named Queensland’s Park of the Year and is just one of more than 2100 parks across the suburbs perfect for playing, picnicking and exploring Brisbane’s bushland.

For the first time, seniors and kids can enjoy aqua fitness classes as part of the GOLD’n’Kids program, creating opportunities for those of all ages to get out, get healthy and have fun.

More than 120 Active and Healthy sessions will also run across the city, giving kids the chance to learn new skills including basketball, yoga and fishing.

Brisbane’s 33 libraries will host more than 120 free creative workshops, covering everything from cartooning to coding.
