Following on from the successful training series delivered earlier in the year and feedback received from participants, Brisbane City Council’s Community Development Team are again offering free training to interested community organisations and associations. Community members, leaders, current and potential committee members of new and existing community organisations are all welcome to attend the following training:
- Governance workshops: specific roles and responsibilities – aims to enhance participants knowledge, understanding and capability to perform their designated role as required by law, organisations and associations. Separate training sessions will be offered for each of the following roles:
- Treasurers
- Secretaries
- Presidents/Chair
2. Grant writing workshops (Part 1 and Part 2) – participants will acquire practical grant writing skills and knowledge and work through scenario activities to assist in successfully applying for grants.
