Beams Road is set to undergo an upgrade over three stages to improve safety, reduce traffic congestion, improve travel time and provide better connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists. This is a jointly funded project between the Federal Government’s Urban Congestion Fund and Council’s Better Roads for Brisbane Program.
Some of the key project points include widening the corridor to four lanes between Lacey Road and Handford Road, improving the centre median, upgrading intersections and signalising the intersection of Beams and Dorville Roads.
