Upgraded playgrounds, new sports field lighting and improved clubhouse amenities will be delivered under the latest round of the Lord Mayor’s Better Suburbs Grants.

Clubs and community organisations across the suburbs will share in more than $2.3 million worth of funding as part of the Community Facility grant category.

The 24 successful clubs applied for up to $200,000 each to grow their operations and deliver local spaces for residents to enjoy now and into the future.

More than 74 community organisations have received funding though the Community Facility and Community Support categories over the past 12 months to help make living and relaxing in our suburbs even better.

Since the program began, across both categories, 372 groups have received a share of almost $10 million.

Bracken Ridge’s JABIRU Community Services were a successful recipient of this round, to refurbish their facility.

Local businesses, community groups and not-for-profits can also access more than 2000 grants worth $59 billion through our Funding Finder tool online, which connects applicants to GrantGuru’s national database.

Applications for the next round of applications for the Lord Mayor’s Better Suburbs Grants will open in March 2025.
