Stage productions, circus acts, films and mentorship opportunities are some of the projects that will be greenlit under this year’s Creative Sparks Grants Program and Lord Mayor’s Creative Fellowships.
The two initiatives will provide a share of almost $270,000 to 26 creative arts professionals and not-for-profit organisations.
The funding will allow them to create their projects and pursue professional development opportunities.
This year, our Council will award nearly $200,000 to 16 recipients through the Creative Sparks Grants.
Launched in 2000, the grants aim to generate jobs, opportunities, and tourism attractions in the creative arts community.
Now in its 29th year, the Lord Mayor’s Creative Fellowships will this year provide a share of $70,000 to 10 artists and creative industries professionals.
This funding will allow them to access masterclasses, art residences, conference admissions, training, mentorships, or other structure learning experiences helping their professional development.
