Night works
To ensure the team can complete works as efficiently and safely as possible, there will be night works starting from Thursday night, 5 December 2024. Night works will run for approximately two weeks, weather and site conditions permitting. Works will be undertaken between 7pm and 5am each night when traffic volumes are lowest.
Works will also be continuing during the day as per our normal working hours from Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm. To maximise the efficiency of works onsite, works may be completed during the day on Saturdays between 7am – 3pm.
What residents can expect:
- An increase in noise, vibrations, light and machinery operating throughout the works, along with odour from the asphalt. The team will work to get the noisier activities completed earlier in the evening, where possible.
- Restricted access during the asphalt works with the road re-opening each morning by 5am.
- Traffic control, police presence, temporary lane closures and detours will be in place while works are underway.
Wet weather:
In the event of wet weather, works may overlap or be moved to the next available shift. Council are working with the contractors to ensure these works are completed within the timeframe.
