To assist recovery efforts following the February 2022 severe weather and flood event, Council’s Development Services have a number ways for property owners to seek assistance and information on repairing or rebuilding a flood-affected property.

Planning Information Office
Council has dedicated officers who can answer simple questions about development intentions for recovery from the recent weather event, including:​​​​​

  • if a development application is needed
  • what information needs to be provided with a development application
  • how the development process will work.

Additional Talk to a planner sessions have been scheduled where you can speak face-to-face with a planning specialist, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about repairing or rebuilding a flood-affected property.
